1. Platform Purpose

DepthZero is a dive instructor management tool. It assists NAUI-certified instructors in organising student training records, skill signoffs, and documentation. DepthZero is a tool, not an authority.

2. Instructor Responsibility

⚠ Critical Notice

All professional training decisions remain the sole responsibility of the certified instructor. DepthZero enforces NAUI standards as a compliance aid only. Any decision to override a standard, extend a qualification, or grant an exception is the instructor's professional responsibility and is logged for audit purposes.

3. Acceptable Use

  • • Use DepthZero only for legitimate dive training management
  • • Do not attempt to circumvent security controls or access other users' data
  • • Do not enter false student records or fraudulent certifications
  • • Do not use the AI assistant for medical advice

4. Data and Privacy

Your use of DepthZero is subject to our Privacy Policy. Student data is processed on your behalf as instructor. You are responsible for informing your students about this privacy policy.

5. Limitation of Liability

DepthZero is provided "as is." The platform operator is not liable for any training outcomes, diving accidents, certification errors, or data loss beyond what is required by applicable law. Maximum liability is limited to fees paid in the preceding 12 months. [VERIFY: Review with legal counsel before commercial deployment]

6. Account Termination

Either party may terminate the account relationship at any time. Upon termination, your training records will be retained for the period specified in the Privacy Policy for legal compliance reasons. You may request a data export prior to termination.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Belgium. Nothing in this clause limits your rights under applicable mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence.
